Manager of Online Initiatives

Molly Mattessich launched and now manages the online platforms for the National Peace Corps Association (NPCA), Africa Rural Connect.org and Peace Corps Connect.org, as well as NPCA’s social network that boasts over 27,000 members. Her specialties include marketing, branding, digital strategy, and online communications.

She has caught the attention of major media outlets for her work on Africa Rural Connect, the online collaboration space where Peace Corps Volunteers, the African Diaspora, and rural farmers incubate rural agricultural development initiatives. Her work on Africa Rural Connect is profiled in the 2010 book Empowered: Unleash Your Employees, Energize Your Customers, and Transform Your Business published by Forrester Research.

A leader in the local Returned Peace Corps Volunteer community for many years, Molly has served as Vice-President, Special Events Director, and New Members Director on the Board of the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of Washington, DC. NPCA is the nation’s leading nonprofit organization connecting and championing Returned Peace Corps Volunteers and the Peace Corps community. It provides service and education opportunities that build on the Peace Corps experience, and is also the longest standing advocate for an independent and robust Peace Corps.

Prior to NPCA, Molly worked as the Marketing Coordinator for Van Ness Feldman, P.C., an energy and environmental law and policy firm.

Molly earned a BA in psychology from Wellesley College and is pursuing an MA in Communication at Johns Hopkins University.
